What is a Hangover?

Veisalgia – The medical Term for Hangovers

A hangover is the experience of various unpleasant physiological and psychological effects following the consumption of ethanol, as found in wine, beer and distilled spirits. Hangovers can last for several hours or for more than 24 hours. Typical symptoms of a hangover may include headache, drowsiness, concentration problems, dehydration, dry mouth, dizziness, fatigue, gastrointestinal distress (e.g., vomiting), absence of hunger, depression, sweating, nausea, hyper-excitability and anxiety.

Statistics show that while an average person may suffer from a hangover after as many as four to five drinks, some may also experience it with as little as two to three. There is also that small percentage of people who never get hangovers for whatever reason.

About Hangover Helper

The inventor of Sunday Morning Pharmaceuticals’ Hangover Helper has been a Pharmacist for more than five years. After continuously being consulted about how to recover from hangovers by customers and seeing products on the market which just did not work he sought out to create a product that finally works. Hangover Helper is the ultimate combination of ingredients to help your body recover after a night of drinking. The concoction contains a plethora of vitamins and minerals, specifically vitamin B complex, C, D, and E, and other ingredients that help to detoxify your body of alcohol, balance your electrolytes, and prevent headaches.

Why Use
Hangover Helper

Because it is a complete kit which has:

  • An electrolyte balance based on the World Health organization’s formulation for rehydration to help your body rehydrate the night or morning after.
  • Vitamins and Minerals which are lost during alcohol consumption, particularly thiamine (B1). Our Hangover helper contains an advanced form of thiamine- Sulbutiamine a synthetic derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1) that crosses the blood–brain barrier more readily than thiamine and increases the levels of thiamine and thiamine phosphate esters in the brain.
  •  Dihydromyricetin- an herbal extract which
      1. speeds up the body’s ability to metabolize alcohol and acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct of alcohol consumption, thus protecting the liver
      2. helps protect the brain from damage caused by excessive alcohol consumption by reducing the effect alcohol has on the brain’s GABA receptors
  • Artichoke extract which used to stimulate the flow of bile from the liver, and this is thought to help reduce the symptoms of heartburn and alcohol “hangover.”
  • Caffeine and Willow Bark extract (nature’s aspirin) for the headache associated with a hangover. The caffeine also acts as diuretic to help remove toxins from the body after taking in the useful electrolytes.
